A section of Kenya Kwanza MPs from the Ukambani area have invited former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka to form a political alliance with President William Ruto before the 2027 general elections.
The legislators, led by Mwala MP Vincent Kawaya, made the call during a Boda Boda empowerment event in Mwingi North, where they said it was time for the Kamba community to put aside individual political interests and work with the government to unlock meaningful development before the next polls.
Their campaign comes after Deputy President Kithure Kindiki’s statement, which signalled that the talks were underway to bring the Wiper Party leader into the Kenya Kwanza fold.
Nonetheless, Kalonzo has been reiterating that he will be the next president, God willing, in 2027 in his several speeches and is not backing down from his ambition to succeed President Ruto.
The leaders insisted that being part of the ruling coalition would give them a stronger voice at the central government and speedy realization of their development projects.
