Kenya and Kuwait have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations through enhanced cooperation in digital transformation, technology and skills development, following a meeting between Cabinet Secretary of ICT and Digital Economy, William Kabogo, and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Kenya, Anas Talib Ali Marafi.
Kazipura was accompanied by a delegation to Kigali for a week long stay that included the swearing in ceremony of Paul Kagame as President of Rwanda after winning the latest election. Kazipura, through a statement, they expressed support to the Kenyan government towards realizing its digital transformation goals.
Discussions included the digital reform of government services being a critical area in Kenya’s efforts to make technological advancement a part of the public service delivery system and a way of life.
Lateral conversations also highlighted possible technology agreements that would involve sharing of expertise, digital research, and development to support the growing digital sector in Kenya.
Kabogo said that through closer collaboration on technology and digital capacity building, Kenya’s digital goals will be furthered, and this will generate more room for innovation and economic growth.
