Kenya and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are making strides in strengthening their healthcare partnership, following a high-level meeting between Principal Secretary for Medical Services, Mr. Harry Kimtai, and H.E. Dr. Salim Ibrahim Al Naqbi, UAE Ambassador to Kenya.

The meeting builds on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at leveraging the UAE’s achievements in healthcare to advance Kenya’s medical systems.

Key areas of discussion included vaccine production, expanding Kenya’s primary healthcare services through the Community Health Promoter (CHP) programme, and bolstering universal health coverage by improving the availability of essential health products and technologies.

The collaboration underscores the shared commitment of both nations to addressing critical healthcare challenges and improving the well-being of their populations.
