Renowned TV journalist Ken Mijungu has parted ways with Cape Media, the parent company of TV47, just a month after making the move from Standard Media Group’s KTN.
Mijungu officially joined the station on February 7, 2025.
In a letter dated February 22, 2025, Cape Media CEO Lilian Makandi confirmed Mijungu’s dismissal, stating that Mijungu had requested time off to reconsider his engagement with the company.
Following this, the management decided to revoke his contract, effective immediately.
The letter read: “We acknowledge receipt of your email dated February 21, 2025, requesting time off to reflect on your engagement with the company. After reviewing the matter, Management has made the decision to terminate the Service Agreement dated January 31, 2025, with effect from February 22, 2025.”
