Celebrated Kikuyu musician and philanthropist Karangu Muraya has narrated how the Social Health Authority (SHA) has eased their medical burden for his ailing brother.

During a meeting at Deputy President Kithure Kindiki’s residence, Karangu disclosed that SHA paid KSh 640,000 for his brother while in the intensive care unit.

On Friday, May 23, the gospel singer said the new health insurance, President William Ruto’s flagship project, approved another KSh 151,000 after transferring their patient to another hospital.

Karangu went on to implore people to register for SHA, insisting that it is working.

"Dear Kenyans, aki before God, SHA paid KSh 460,000 for my brother who was in ICU. Today, after transferring him last night to a different facility, it has approved KSh 151,000. Please register to SHA," said Karangu.
