Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) Leader and Cabinet Secretary Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has cut short his official visit to the United Kingdom to attend the State Requiem Mass of his late political ally and friend, former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga.

Dr. Musyoka departed Heathrow International Airport in London on Thursday evening aboard a Kenya Airways flight bound for Nairobi.

He is expected to arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. East African Time (EAT).

‘The Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) Leader HE Dr Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, EGH, SC, CS, has departed from Heathrow International Airport (JKIA) London, United Kingdom, for Nairobi, Kenya,’he said.

According to a statement from the Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF), Kalonzo adjusted his itinerary to ensure he is present during the national farewell to Raila, whom he described as a “visionary leader who dedicated his life to justice, unity, and democracy.”

Upon arrival, the former Vice President is expected to proceed directly to the venue of the State Requiem Mass, where he will join President William Ruto, former President Uhuru Kenyatta, and other dignitaries in paying tribute to the late opposition leader.
