The Council of Governors (CoG) is alive with the sentiments of sorrow and sadness that the whole Kenyan people have expressed over the death of the former Prime Minister of the Republic Raila Amolo Odinga.
The governors described him as a one-of-a-kind leader, a wise politician, a patron of devolution, and a kindhearted giant of justice and democracy.
Upon an extraordinary meeting held on Thursday at the Council of Governors headquarters in Nairobi, the governors from the 47 counties had a very fruitful session in which they shared their memories of Odinga, his crucial role in moulding Kenya’s devolved system of governance being foremost among them.
