Kakamega County Woman Representative Elsie Muhanda has urged the government to implement the recommendations of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report, saying it will help ease political tensions in the country.

Speaking at Panpaper Grounds in Lugari during the distribution of farm inputs to local farmers, Muhanda emphasized that the report’s proposals—including the creation of the positions of Prime Minister and Official Leader of the Opposition—will promote national unity and reconciliation.“The implementation of this report will foster peace and stability by ensuring inclusivity in governance,” she said.

Additionally, the legislator encouraged young people to take advantage of President William Ruto’s recent decision to scrap the KSh 300 national identity card registration fee. She urged them to acquire IDs and register as voters to actively participate in shaping the country’s future.

Muhanda’s remarks add to the ongoing debate on the NADCO report, which has sparked both support and opposition from different political factions.
