Kafengo has shared further details of the final sendoff of the late Zakaria Kariuki, popularly known as Mr KK Mwenyewe. The renowned comedian passed away recently while receiving medical care at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital, a death that has left the entertainment industry and his ardent fans in shock to the core.
In a social media post, Kafengo revealed that he had visited KK’s home and met with some of the family members. He noted that the father and sister were away at the time, but the rest of the family expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support that was being offered in the form of prayers and financial assistance. Kafengo called on all the individuals to continue standing with the family during this moment of sorrow.
He went on to reaffirm that the burial is on Wednesday, 23rd July 2025, at KK’s home village in Lari, Gathirioni, Kiambu County. To facilitate preparations, two focal meeting points have been designated: Kiambu Community Social Hall in Kiambu Town, opposite Shell Petrol Station, and the family home village in Gathirioni. These points will serve as convergence centers for friends, fans, and well-wishers who are coming together to give KK a dignified sendoff.
For those who want to support financially, they can send their contributions to Till Number 6504530 in the name Zakaria Kariuki Waithira. The family is still receiving an outpouring of support from the public, and Kafengo promised followers that they will be updated as the burial date approaches.
This follows Kafengo’s earlier posting that confirmed the sudden death of KK and urged fans to send prayers and words of encouragement. As condolences continue to pour in from across the country, it is clear that Mr KK Mwenyewe made his mark in Kenya’s world of comedy with jokes that resonated with many and an infectious personality to match.
