Kevin Juma carded a gross score of 76 to clinch the Overall Title at the 5th edition of the NCBA Golf Series Grand Finale held over the weekend at Muthaiga Golf Club.

The handicap-4 player from Royal Nairobi Golf Club topped a highly competitive field of 90 qualifiers drawn from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.

The tournament brought together some of the region’s finest amateur golfers, all vying for one of East Africa’s most coveted amateur golf titles.

In addition to the trophy, Juma—who had earlier won the Overall Men’s title during his home club’s leg of the series in September—took home Ksh 130,000, a Kenya Airways air ticket to London, a signature Sandstorm leather bag, and a bottle of Johnnie Walker courtesy of EABL.

Finishing closely behind him was VetLab Sports Club’s John Odhiambo, playing off handicap 3, who also returned a 76 gross but lost on countback due to Juma’s lower handicap.

VetLab also celebrated another victory through Mary Karano, who emerged as the Overall Lady Winner.

Odhiambo, who earned his spot in the Grand Finale by winning at his home club, received Ksh 130,000, a Kenya Airways air ticket to Mauritius, a Sandstorm signature bag, and a bottle of Johnnie Walker.

Playing off handicap 12, she posted an impressive 79 gross to secure her place among the tournament’s top performers.

Karano’s prize haul included Ksh 130,000, a Kenya Airways air ticket to South Africa, a Sandstorm bag, and a bottle of Johnnie Walker.
