MP Peter Salasya from Kenya has caused a stir online, with new photos that he recently shared from his ongoing tour in the United States, accompanied by a funny message aimed at what he termed the “online DCI.”

Clad casually in a pair of jeans, vest, and mismatched shoes, he posed on a sleek black Tesla. His outfit brought him into the spotlight, but it was what he wrote that really set the internet on fire.

Laughing off claims that people are trying to “investigate” him, Salasya wrote that coming to America was never something he imagined while growing up, let alone while serving in opposition politics. According to him, travelling abroad isn’t easy; “who will sponsor it?” he joked.

He attributed his journey to divine intervention; he is but a village boy hailing from Kisumu County who keeps receiving opportunities through the favor of God. Salasya went ahead to give a touching reflection on his humble beginnings, noting that while growing up in Kisumu Ndogo, his ultimate vision was only to get to Nairobi, and to him, it felt a great achievement. “Let’s keep trusting the Lord and working hard,” he encouraged his followers, adding that God has greater plans for everyone.

He concluded with an inspirational note, cautioning against pride and reminding Kenyans that God lifts up the humble: “It is never too late for God to turn the tables. God delights in humility zero yourself for the glory of God.”
