Media personality Janet Mbugua has addressed allegations that she is romantically involved with a younger man.
The speculation about her involvement with a younger man were sparked by her earlier sentiments about the relationship between age and maturity. On November 22, Janet shared a video that explored the notion that maturity is not linked to age. She asserted that the society perceives men in their 40s or 50s to be mature which is not always the case.
She further insisted that men in their 20s can also exhibit a high level of emotional maturity and self awareness which can be attributed to a high sense of accountability and personal development.
Janet took to social media to clear the air concerning the circulating video. She clarified that her sentiments had nothing to do with her personal life rather a highlight that was based on her general observation. Janet stated,
“My last video has nothing to do with my personal life. I just phrased a narrative based on content that other people do. A lot of the time content creators talk about their individual lives but sometimes it’ just reflections on things that have nothing to do with us… I did a video based on a quote that says you can meet a 45 year old man and a 23 year old boy. And for some reason people thought it had something to do with me having a younger lover, maybe some day!”
