Hollywood veteran actor James Handy has passed away after being fatally stabbed in Los Angeles today. Police have confirmed in a statement that they found the 81 year old in the front garden of his property, unconscious and with stab wound to the chest.

Handy will be remembered for his character in “Jumanji” (1995) and “Top Gun: Maverick” (2022), among other films. His career earned him respect as the most reliable supporting actors in Hollywood. Born in New York, he has been in the film industry for over six decades.

Police say the victim was taken to hospital by paramedics and later pronounced dead.
A 44 –year- old suspect known as Michael Gledhill has been arrested after surrendering himself to the police at the scene, claiming to be the son of the actor’s girlfriend.
Police say security footage shows bloody clothes abandoned nearby as Gledhill walking calmly down the sidewalk. He has been booked for murder with a bail set at USD 2 million.
