Harambee Stars midfielder Kenneth Muguna has officially signed with Township Rollers FC, completing a move to the Botswana Premier League side on a two-year contract.
Muguna joins the 16-time league champions after parting ways with Kenya Police FC, where he played a pivotal role in their recent domestic success. In a statement welcoming their new signing, Township Rollers hailed the Kenyan playmaker as the “missing piece” in their mission to reclaim the club’s former dominance.
“Welcome to the new era! Kenneth ‘Junior’ Muguna is Blue and Gold. A proven midfield maestro, Muguna brings leadership, creativity, and steel to power our engine room this season,” the club announced.
The 2016 Kenyan Premier League Most Valuable Player (MVP) brings with him a wealth of experience, having featured for KF Tirana in Albania and Azam FC in Tanzania. These international stints helped sharpen his skills and build his reputation as a reliable and creative force in midfield.
Muguna began his professional journey with Palos FC and Western Stima, but it was at Gor Mahia where he truly made his mark.
During his time with the Kenyan giants, he lifted three league titles and two Mozzart Bet Cups, establishing himself as one of the most decorated midfielders in the region.
Most recently, Muguna added to his silverware collection with Kenya Police FC, helping them win the 2023/24 domestic cup and league title, further highlighting his winning pedigree.
With this new chapter in Botswana, Muguna is expected to play a central role in Township Rollers’ midfield as they look to reclaim their status at the summit of Botswana football.
