Kenya’s national women’s football team, Harambee Starlets, is set to face Morocco’s national team in two friendly matches.
The team, led by Coach Beldine Odemba, will depart for Morocco today, with a mix of experienced players and promising newcomers making up the travelling squad.
Notable inclusions are Junior Starlets captain Elizabeth Ochaka and defender Christine Adhiambo, both of whom are earning their first senior call-ups after impressive performances at the FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup.
Their inclusion is expected to boost the team’s defensive options.
Young goalkeeper Christine Adhiambo also transitions from the U-20 team, while Jackline Chesang’ of Trinity Starlets and Diana Cherono from Vihiga Queens will make their senior debuts.
The two players have been in outstanding form in the 2024/25 FKF Women’s Premier League season.
The first friendly will take place this Friday, with the second scheduled for next Tuesday.

Defenders: Ruth Ingosi, Elizabeth Ochaka, Norah Ann, Makhoka Vivian Nasaka, Wincate Kaari, Mango Enez Mudeizi, Ochieng Christine Adhiambo.
Midfielders: Corazone Aquino, Akinyi Lavender Ann, Fasila Adhiambo Omondi, Nyabuto Lorna Nyarinda.
Forwards: Jereko Mwanalima Adam, Beverline Adika, Elizabeth Mideva Lwangu, Wanyonyi Violet Nanjala, Diana Cherono, Elizabeth Mutukiza, Barasa Jackline Chesang.
In October, the Harambee Starlets participated in the Pink Ladies Cup in Turkey, where they faced teams from Chinese Taipei, Russia, and the Philippines.
