The government has launched a four-day youth training program under the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) initiative, targeting over 63,000 young people across 25 counties. The training, which begins today, November 14, 2025, aims to equip beneficiaries with entrepreneurial and financial management skills ahead of the disbursement of start-up capital.
Addressing the press in Nairobi, Principal Secretary for the State Department for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development, Susan Mang’eni, said the training will be conducted at the constituency level, with 222 training centres mapped out across the participating regions. Some constituencies, she noted, will host more than one centre depending on their size and population.
Mang’eni emphasized that the disbursement of start-up funds will commence
