Three suspects have been arraigned before the Makadara Law Courts in Nairobi, facing charges of obtaining goods worth Sh8 million by false pretence.
The accused Halima Ismael Samson, Andrew Mwendwa Masaku, and Angeline Mwende Njeru appeared before Chief Magistrate Beatrice Kimemia, where they were charged with two counts of obtaining goods by false pretence.
According to the prosecution, the trio, jointly with others still at large, committed the offence between September 26 and October 3, 2025, at Menengai Oil Refineries Ltd in Nairobi’s Industrial Area.
They are accused of fraudulently obtaining from Abdulahi Iman Noor a total of 1,000 cartons of bar soap valued at Sh3.83 million and an additional Sh3.2 million, by falsely claiming they would pay immediately upon delivery.
The suspects denied the charges and were released on bond pending trial.
Chief Magistrate Kimemia set the hearing date for April 21, 2026.
