Gor Mahia head coach Sinisa Mihic has confirmed that internal tensions with his technical bench have been resolved following weeks of unrest within the team.

The Croatian tactician revealed that he held a candid meeting with both the technical staff and players, during which they addressed recent disagreements and committed to refocusing on the club’s upcoming fixtures.

“We had an honest conversation with the technical bench and the players. Everyone is now on the same page, and we’re ready to get back to training tomorrow,” Mihic said.

The conflict had come to a head during Gor’s 1-1 draw against Sofapaka in a recent FKF Premier League clash, where Mihic —serving a touchline ban — was seen in viral videos angrily walking out of Dandora Stadium.

His suspension stemmed from a prior red card in their 1-0 win over Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB).

Sources close to the club indicated that Mihic was frustrated with substitutions made by his assistants during the Sofapaka match — a point he alluded to when explaining his weekend outburst.

“There was a lot of pressure and tension. In those moments, emotions can get the better of you. Sometimes you react that way to spark something in the team, or, like when I got the red card, you take one for the team,” he explained.

Gor Mahia now turn their focus to a rescheduled league fixture against struggling FC Talanta at Dandora Stadium on Wednesday. The defending champions sit third on the FKF Premier League table with 48 points — three behind leaders Tusker FC and one behind second-placed Kenya Police.

Victory over Talanta would give Gor a chance to reclaim top spot as the title race tightens.
