Gor Mahia has named Croatian Sinisa Mihic as their new head coach.

The 48-year-old was introduced on Monday morning by club chairman Ambrose Rachier and will begin his duties immediately.

Mihic’s most recent coaching role was at Al Samiyah SC in Kuwait, where he served as assistant manager for a brief 16-day period in February 2022.

With a UEFA Pro License, Mihic has also previously coached Kuwait’s Al Fahaheel (2014-2016), Al Shabab (2019-2020), and Croatia’s NK Crikvenica (January-June 2021).

He takes over from Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno, who had been in charge of the team on an interim basis since Brazilian Leo Neiva’s departure in November 2023.

Zico will return to his former role as an assistant coach, alongside Michael Nam.

Currently, Gor Mahia sits in third place in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League with 31 points, six points behind leaders Kenya Police and second-placed Tusker FC.
