Anti-narcotics detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters have arrested Malik Aman, an Indian national, in a well-coordinated operation in Iten.

The arrest followed a raid on his residence, where a variety of illicit pharmaceutical products were recovered.

Aman, who had been under surveillance for some time, was apprehended after the DCI team executed a search warrant granted by an Iten court.

During the raid, detectives inventoried and seized an assortment of pharmaceutical items that are believed to have been illegally sourced or misused.

Following his arrest, Aman was placed in custody but later released on cash bail, pending further investigations. Authorities have indicated that the seized drugs will undergo thorough forensic testing at the government chemist to determine their exact nature and origin.

The DCI has reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying the fight against the illegal sale, distribution, and consumption of banned substances, as part of ongoing efforts to protect public health and safety.
