The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is collaborating with FIFA to host a two-day FIFA Club Professionalization and Management Workshop for FKF Premier League clubs.
Scheduled for October 28-29 in Nairobi, the workshop will bring together club chairpersons and CEOs from all Premier League teams.
Its goal is to empower local clubs with essential skills in strategic planning, governance, and financial management.
This workshop is part of FIFA’s Club Professionalization and Management Program and marks the program’s inaugural edition in Africa.
Attendees will benefit from insights shared by experienced professionals, including FIFA’s Senior Professional Football Manager, Marcos Picalló Aguilar, Next Sports’ Director of Commercial Services, Marcos Pelegrin, FIFA Consultant Pedro Correia, and Javier Sobrino, former Managing Partner at Aser Ventures.
FKF President Nick Mwendwa is set to inaugurate the workshop on Monday and will also lead the closing session on Tuesday.
The initiative aims to help Kenyan clubs achieve self-sustainability and financial viability while aligning with international standards.
FIFA envisions this program as a way to equip club executives with new skills and practical insights, allowing them to exchange best practices with industry leaders.
By enhancing the capacity of African clubs, FIFA seeks to foster a competitive football environment where teams can excel both on and off the pitch.
