The players being released from the squad are Ibrahim Wanzala, Musa Mohammed, Alphonce Omija, Geoffrey Ochieng, Bernard Ondiek, Brian Eshihanda, Andres Odhiambo, Clifford Otieno, Boniface Muchiri, Matthias Isogol, Victor Omune, Sydney Lokale, and Mathew Tegisi.

Kenya is determined to bounce back from the first leg loss and secure a spot in the second and final qualification round, where they would face either Rwanda or Djibouti.
However, qualification is somewhat assured for Kenya, as they are already set to participate in the tournament as one of the joint host nations alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
The team arrived in Uganda last night and is in the final stages of preparation.
