The National Assembly Committee on Appointments has approved the nomination of Mutahi Kagwe, William Kabogo and Lee Kinyanjui for appointment as Cabinet Secretaries in President William Ruto’s administration.
Kagwe was nominated to head the Agriculture Ministry, Kabogo to the Ministry of Information, Communication and Digital Economy and Kinyanjui to the Investment and Trade docket.
Following their approval after a thorough vetting by the Moses Wetang’ula-led committee, there will be a debate in the National Assembly with the MPs deliberating on the three.
Wetang’ula will then present their names to President Ruto for an official appointment. Kabogo, Kagwe and Kinyanjui will then be sworn in before officially assuming their respective mandates in the Cabinet.
The three were nominated by President Ruto after reshuffling his Cabinet on December 19, 2024.
