Former Harambee Stars player Collins Okoth Ougo, also known as Gattuso, was arraigned today alongside his co-accused Silvia Aoko in connection with the murder of a minor in Lucky Summer Estate, Ruaraka, Nairobi.
The two appeared before Justice Alexander Muteti at the Milimani Law Courts but did not enter a plea.
The prosecution confirmed that the suspects had undergone medical assessment, and Justice Muteti directed that the mental assessment reports be submitted to the court before they enter their plea on September 11, 2024.
The Investigating Officer (I.O.), who was summoned to court, denied allegations that he had refused to release a mobile phone and money belonging to Mr. Okoth, who previously played for several Kenyan Premier League clubs.

The I.O. informed the court that during the arrest, he recovered a Samsung mobile phone, a wallet containing two identification cards, and an NHIF card, all of which were recorded in an inventory signed by the suspect.
The court ordered the I.O. to return the Samsung phone to Mr. Okoth and instructed him to file a formal complaint with the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA).
Okoth, a former Gor Mahia and Harambee Stars midfielder, and his co-accused Silvia Aoko Odhiambo are accused of murdering a three-year-old girl, Pamela Atieno, also known as Scovian Maya, in April 2024.
Okoth has been in police custody while detectives complete their investigation into the murder. He is currently held at Industrial Area Remand Prison, while his co-accused is held at Lang’ata Women’s Prison.
