Influencer Eve Mungai cried open that she struggled with depression between April and June this year. While in an open Q&A session with her fans, Eve revealed that the period was one of the toughest in her life.
“Yeah, I did. This spring in April and May was actually the lowest time in my life. I’m not even going to lie, most days I was just in bed, barely eating, hoping that it would all just be over. It was dark,” she confessed.
The YouTuber opened up to shared that despite the struggle, she depended on her faith, family, and close friends to navigate the tempest. “But I prayed hard, leaned on my family and a few close friends, and slowly found my way back. Seeking help and letting myself be supported made all the difference. I’m grateful to be here, stronger, and healing,” she added.
The fans had already demonstrated their concerns about Eve’s non-attendance of interviews and media quietness, with the majority guessing what was going on in her personal life and whether she was in a relationship or not. Her candid response has now initiated an online argument on mental health awareness and intervention.
