President William Ruto has said Kenya’s transformation will be driven by strategic and deliberate programmes rather than “empty rhetoric,” pledging that every region will benefit from his administration’s development agenda.
Speaking in Awendo, Migori County, where he broke ground for the Awendo Affordable Housing Project, the President said the initiative will deliver about 300 housing units to meet the growing demand for decent and affordable homes.
The project is expected to create more than 500 jobs, with a focus on opportunities for youth and women, and stimulate the local economy.
“This development will not only provide modern housing but also uplift the livelihoods of the people of Awendo,” Ruto said, adding that housing remains a key pillar of the government’s transformative agenda.
The president added that Kenyans are demanding practical solutions to the challenges in our country and seeking an improvement in their lives.
“And that is what we have endeavoured to do in the past three years. We have stabilised the economy, reformed the agricultural value chain, implemented universal healthcare under the Social Health Authority and pursued deliberate policies to create jobs for our youth,” said Ruto
