Kenyan actor, writer, and storyteller Abel Mutua is turning 39 today, and as is his norm, he is making his fans laugh with his humor. The legendary director posted on his page what he had hinted was his “birthday registry,” putting most of his fans in stitches.
Instead of the usual party demands, cake, or gift requests, Mutua’s wish list read like an old-age scheme rather than a birthday wish list. Some of the items he included were: pension, orthopedic boots (size 42), electric wheelchair, blood pressure device, emergency alarm system, physiotherapy vacations, and even sildenafil pills. He continued to add “pension” to the list, bringing the joke of age catching up with him full circle.
The funny list quickly went viral with the fans flooding the comment section to laugh and create their own suggestions. Most joked that Mutua must be preparing for “retirement at 40,” but others praised him for never missing an opportunity to have people laugh even when he marks personal milestones.
Abel Mutua, or “Mkurugenzi,” has made a name for his excellent storytelling and production techniques and also for his humor . On and off camera, he has been a darling in Kenya’s entertainment circles.
