“Produce Him or Explain”: Court Orders IG to Account for Missing Blogger

Missing IT expert and blogger Ndiangui Kinyagia.

Justice Chacha Mwita has ordered the Inspector General of Police to produce the missing IT expert-cum-blogger Ndiangui Kinyagia who has been missing since June 21.

Family and friends said have not heard from the blogger since police raided his house at Kinoo, Kiambu county and took away two laptops, two phones, passports and a yellow fever card then locked his house with their padlock.

Kinyagia who is behind X account was vocal in mobilizing support for Gen Z anniversary protests held on June 25.

The High Court judge stated; “This is an application of habeas corpus touching on a Kenyan who is a human being… I have taken into account the fact that the second applicant has not been found for 10 days and that the life of a citizen is in danger.”

Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja.

Kanja is expected to produce Kinyagia in court without fail or explain why he cannot be found.
