Health CS Aden Duale has criticised former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over remarks he made against President William Ruto, warning that such comments could stir tension in the country.
In a statement released Saturday, Duale called out Gachagua as being reckless and inflammatory rhetoric
He accused Gachagua of trying to create division, particularly by framing the President as being against the Mt Kenya region.
“Mr Gachagua appears to be on a path of self-sabotage, but that doesn’t give him the right to drag the whole country down with him, this kind of talk is not just irresponsible it’s dangerous and lowers the dignity of leadership in Kenya.” Said Duale
Gachagua had earlier accused the President of sidelining Mt Kenya and using tactics that he claimed were meant to suppress the region’s growth. Duale, however, dismissed the allegations, urging leaders to put the country’s unity above personal grievances
