Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has received a progress report from the Technical Working Group overseeing the alignment of development partner programmes with the Government’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) Plan.
In a statement issued after receiving the report, DP Kindiki noted that the finalization of the framework will help ensure that all donor-funded projects are delivering maximum value, measurable impact, and operating with transparency across sectors that are critical to Kenya’s transformation journey.

“Received progress report from the Technical Working Group on the realignment of development partner programmes with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) PLAN. Its finalization will assist the Government to assure value for money, impact and transparency in the application of development partner programmes and projects across priority areas key to the transformation of Kenya.,” he said.
The BETA Plan is the guiding blueprint of the Kenya Kwanza administration, focusing on uplifting the economy from the grassroots through key areas such as agriculture, MSMEs, healthcare, digital innovation, housing, and energy.
By streamlining donor support with these priority sectors, the Government aims to eliminate duplication, enhance efficiency, and boost accountability in project implementation.

The report is expected to guide the next phase of coordinated engagement between development partners and relevant government ministries and agencies.
DP Kindiki reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with international partners, but within a clearly defined national framework that centers the needs of the Kenyan people.
