Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya has urged the country’s leadership to prioritize political tolerance and champion a development-focused agenda aimed at enhancing service delivery to citizens.
Speaking in Changamwe during the issuance of Sh43.2 million National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) bursaries for secondary school students, Mvurya emphasized the need for leaders to concentrate on building capacity and accelerating project implementation within their areas of responsibility.
“Leaders must rise above political differences and focus on initiatives that directly impact the lives of Kenyans,” he said, adding that development must be prioritized over divisive politics.
The CS also called on the coastal region to reject retrogressive politics, instead rallying behind efforts that promote unity, education, and economic growth.
Mvurya’s remarks come at a time when the government is pushing for increased investment in education and community development projects across the country.
