Health Cabinet Secretary Hon. Aden Duale today chaired a high-level meeting with senior officials from the Ministry of Health at Afya House, Nairobi, to discuss key strategic priorities aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery in the country.
During the meeting, Duale reaffirmed the government’s dedication to Universal Health Coverage (UHC) as a core pillar of the Kenya Kwanza administration’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
He emphasized the importance of the newly established Social Health Authority (SHA) in expanding access to affordable and quality healthcare for all Kenyans.

The CS also called for efficiency, accountability, and integrity in managing health resources, stressing strict adherence to constitutional and legal frameworks to ensure effective governance in the sector.
He urged ministry officials to uphold professionalism, teamwork, and prudent resource utilization to enhance service delivery.
Duale was joined by Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Ms. Mary Muthoni, and Director General for Health, Dr. Patrick Amoth, among other senior officials.
The discussions underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring an effective and transparent healthcare system that meets the needs of all citizens.
