Popular digital content creator 2Mbili has shared a reassuring update regarding car dealer and entrepreneur Khalif Kairo, who is currently being held in remand. According to 2Mbili, Kairo remains in good spirits and may be released as early as Tuesday.
Taking to Instagram, 2Mbili addressed the flood of messages and calls he has received from concerned fans and well-wishers, all seeking updates on Kairo’s wellbeing. The two share a friendship that has extended to several collaborations on 2Mbili’s YouTube platform, making the public interest in Kairo’s situation deeply personal for the creator.
“I’ve been receiving endless calls and messages about Khalif Kairo,” 2Mbili said in a video post. “So I decided to visit him and get clarity.”
He went on to share details of their recent meeting, expressing optimism about Kairo’s mental and emotional state. “Kairo is doing okay. I saw him last evening and we talked for an hour. He’s in good spirits and truly appreciates the support and visits from everyone,” 2Mbili revealed.
The update follows days of speculation and online commentary about the circumstances surrounding Kairo’s remand. While some narratives online painted a grim picture, 2Mbili was quick to dispel those rumours.
“He’s being treated well. I even spoke with some of the officers at the facility, and they confirmed he’s safe,” he added.
