The construction of a Huduma Centre in Igembe South sub-county is set to begin this month, according to the area MP, John Paul Mwirigi.
Speaking at Auki Primary School, Mwirigi highlighted the positive impact the new Huduma Centre will have on the residents, particularly in reducing the time and financial burden of traveling to Meru Town for government services.
“Having a Huduma Centre in Igembe South means our people will no longer endure long trips to Meru for essential government services,” Mwirigi stated. “This will make services more accessible, cut travel costs, and save valuable time for many of our residents.”
The centre will offer a wide array of government services, including the issuance of IDs, birth certificates, driving licenses, CRB forms, and more.
Mwirigi added, “The Huduma Centre will revolutionize service delivery for five sub-counties— Igembe Central, Igembe South, Igembe North, Mutuati, and the neighbouring Tigania East.”
