Co-operative Bank of Kenya has furthered its mission to bring banking services closer to underserved communities with the official opening of a new branch in Kibwezi town.

The move underscores the bank’s broader expansion strategy, which aims to deepen financial inclusion by establishing outlets in both urban centres and rural counties.

“Yes, Kibwezi is with us! Co-op Bank is now in town — bringing you closer to convenient and reliable banking. Step in today. Karibu!” the bank declared in its opening statement.

This latest addition follows a series of branch launches across the country. In Nairobi, the bank recently unveiled its Eastleigh outlet at BBS Mall, catering to the dynamic commercial hub there, while another branch at Imaara Mall on Mombasa Road serves the bustling traffic corridors of the capital.

Moving north, the bank opened doors in Meru town to support the region’s thriving agricultural businesses. Further west, Ugunja in Siaya County welcomed its own Co-op Bank branch, and local residents in Thika and Kenol (Murang’a County) have also gained convenient access to the bank’s full suite of services.

The new Kibwezi branch will offer personal and business account services, loan facilities, mobile and agency banking support, and advisory services for Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs).
