Award-winning singer Chris Brown has revealed a personal routine that helps him cope with the pressures of fame—sneaking out alone at night in cities he visits. While the idea may seem simple, for Brown, these quiet, solo walks have become a vital part of maintaining his mental health.
Brown shared that walking alone at night allows him to feel human again. Unlike during the day, when he’s often surrounded by security, cameras, and crowds, nighttime gives him rare freedom. “I like to sneak out by myself when I’m in different cities,” he said. “It helps me feel human and normal. That’s really important for my mental due to the fact that I just can’t walk around freely during the day. Keeps me grounded.”
Living under constant public scrutiny, Brown finds that isolation from everyday life can take a toll on his emotional well-being. Being unable to do ordinary things like strolling down the street or visiting a local shop makes him feel disconnected. Night walks help break that sense of isolation and restore a feeling of balance in his life.
He’s also spoken before about the mental strain of fame. From anxiety to depression, the singer has had his fair share of struggles over the years. He believes finding time for personal, grounding experiences like cooking or walking alone is key to staying mentally stable.
