Kenyan comedian Mokaya has finally spoken out about the rumours linking him to fellow entertainer Mitchelle, also known as Mjaka Mfine. During an interview on Dr. Ofweneke Tonight on TV47, Mokaya made it clear that the two are not dating.
He said people got the wrong idea because of how well they work together on screen. “Those were just rumours. She’s a great workmate,” Mokaya explained. He added that while their chemistry is strong, it’s only professional. “I enjoy working with Mjaka. Our chemistry is great, and I like that.”
Talking about his love life, Mokaya shared a funny story about his first relationship in Nairobi. He said it only lasted two weeks while he was in university. “By the third week, things had already gone wrong,” he said with a smile.
Even with that experience, Mokaya said he’s never had a heartbreak. According to him, all his relationships ended peacefully. “I’ve never been heartbroken. We always agree to go our separate ways,” he said.
As always, Mokaya added a joke to lighten the mood. He said being loyal to one woman in Nairobi for six months is like being loyal for 17 years in Kisii. His comment had the audience laughing.
