Kenyan media personality and content creator Carolina Carlz is celebrating a big win after Facebook, which owns Instagram, paid her nearly $800, about KSh 105,000, a payout she says she never thought would materialize.

In a post that went out for celebration among her fans and fellow content providers, Carolina shared her PayPal balance of $796.43, showing two separate payments from Facebook amounting to $626.54 and $169.89, respectively. She then attached the receipts with a caption that was full of joy, stating her disbelief and excitement.

“I’m so happy I had to withdraw this money to believe it ????, 102K just like that… somebody’s salary somewhere,” she wrote. “From now on, Nia show after show as I balance with real estate.”

Carolina went on to explain that Facebook, YouTube, and Content Creators’ Shorts have turned into major sources of earnings-especially when the engagement is good, though the likes are not always in comparison with the views.

“These payouts are just for October posts,” she noted. “Facebook doesn’t just check the likes you get, it’s the views—people who viewed but didn’t like still count in the overall engagement.”

The bright post was complete with a stylish photo of Carolina in a colorful skirt with a leather jacket, beaming with pride and gratitude. Fans flocked to her comment section with congratulations, naming her “multi-talented,” “a hustler who wins,” and “proof that digital content pays.”Carolina, who has worked both in TV and radio, insinuated that mainstream media might soon want her back now that her content is proving profitable.

“Media wants me back!” she joked, celebrating this new chapter in her creative journey.
