Popular Kenyan socialite Bridget Achieng has explained why she has been unable to return to Kenya nearly four years after arriving in Turkey for “business.”
In a TikTok Live session, the mother of one revealed that her passport has been blocked, preventing her from entering Kenya. “I cannot enter Kenya because my passport is blocked. If I return, I will be arrested,” she said.
Bridget clarified that while she could travel to places like Dubai, she prefers to stay in Turkey and resolve her legal issues, with hopes of eventually bringing her son to a safer country.
In 2022, the former Nairobi Diaries actress was linked to human trafficking allegations in Turkey. She was accused of luring several Kenyan women to the Middle East with promises of jobs, only for them to be trafficked for exploitative work by criminal syndicates.
The case is still ongoing, which is why her passport remains blocked.
