Medical operations at Mediheal hospital Nakuru branch are now under severe threat after auctioneers seized equipments valued a thirty one million shilling rent dispute.

The action stems from a long-running disagreement between the hospital and its landlord, where payments were repeatedly missed despite formal notices. Although the hospital tried to halt the proceedings, those efforts fell short, letting the enforcement move forward without delay.

As it happens, the property owner acted through court channels after claiming years of overdue rent was owed – details that remain contested by hospital officials.

The seized items include life-support machines and surgical tools that directly affect daily procedures. The incident follows a prior probe into organ trafficking involving former MP Swarup Mishra, who had requested more time to repay debts.

His appeal didn’t stop the legal team from moving on with performance plans. Now, staff worry about delays in treatment Rising patient wait times as services struggle to keep pace.

Officials say recovery costs could exceed initial estimates if repairs and replacements aren’t funded soon. This isn’t the first major disruption for mediheal. Ongoing investigations continue to deepen distrust among stakeholders.
