Entrepreneur and singer Akothee has opened up about her painful past while sending a heartfelt message to Nigerian actress Regina Daniels and her mother amid reports of turmoil in Regina’s marriage.
In an emotional post, Akothee revealed how she was once sued by a billionaire ex-partner for refusing to “take orders”, and the case is still in court. She described how the relationship left her emotionally drained, saying:
“I dumped him in 2017. He sued me in 2019 when he realized I was not coming back to him. We are still in court. I attend sermons, write defences, send my lawyers in-short I am still under emotional arrest.”
Akothee went on to empathize with Regina Daniels’ mother, saying she could feel her pain as a fellow mother watching her daughter endure heartbreak. She then reflected on how relationships had scarred her, admitting that at times she struggles to trust love again.
“This young woman must have seen it all. People forget that we celebrities bleed too. We can’t always show our pain because it’s used against us,” she wrote.
Akothee also came out to defend Regina’s mother from online criticism, asking people to show compassion, not judgment.
“There is no mother who would willingly watch her daughter make painful choices and just stay silent. Let’s show some empathy. Her flaunting a Lamborghini did not take anything from you it wasn’t your father’s Lambo!”
Akothee concluded her words by warning Regina against returning to a toxic situation, writing passionately:
“Don’t go back, mummy! This mess is too messy. I pray for you to get strength, my girl. Pole.”
