The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has listed 13 cases involving alleged corruption, fraudulent acquisition of public property, money laundering and recovery of unexplained wealth that are scheduled before Kenyan courts this week.
The cases, set for hearing, mention and ruling between October 5 and October 9, 2026, involve former government officials, companies and private individuals.
Among the cases is a suit seeking to recover KSh744 million in unexplained wealth from Benson Muteti Mutinda, a former Coast Regional Manager at the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA).
The case is scheduled for hearing on October 7 at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court.
Another case involves Mzalendo Kibunjia, former Director General of the National Museums of Kenya, and seven others who face charges including conspiracy to commit an offence of corruption, money laundering, acquisition of proceeds of crime and financial misconduct.
According to EACC, the allegations relate to the alleged embezzlement of KSh441.4 million, which was reportedly paid as salaries to people who were not employed by the institution. The case is scheduled for hearing at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court on October 7.
The commission has also listed a case involving Amos Kabue Mwangi and 11 others, who are charged with allegedly making fraudulent payments from public revenue for goods that were not supplied and unlawful acquisition of public property.

The allegations concern irregular payments amounting to KSh201 million allegedly made by the Kenya School of Law to companies that did not supply goods or provide services. The matter is scheduled for hearing on October 5, 6, 7 and 8.
In another case, EACC is pursuing recovery of KSh110 million allegedly embezzled from Nairobi City County by Mary Wanjiku, trading as Maymill Enterprises, and six others. The matter is listed before the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court on October 1 and 5.
The commission has also listed a suit seeking recovery of KSh14 million allegedly embezzled from Nairobi City County by Janta Express Services Limited and four others. The case is scheduled for hearing on October 6, 7 and 8.
A ruling is expected in a case involving Collins Sila, a former Chief Officer of Health in Machakos County, and two others. They are accused of alleged wilful failure to comply with the law relating to management of public property and unlawful acquisition of public property.
The allegations relate to the alleged misappropriation of KSh67 million donated by DANIDA and the World Health Organization (WHO). The case is before the Machakos Law Court.
Other cases listed by the anti-graft agency include matters involving alleged fraudulent acquisition of public property, forgery and presentation of false documents.
Alexander Kariuki Ndumia, a former employee of Kaimosi Friends University, is facing allegations involving the fraudulent acquisition of public property worth KSh6.3 million, uttering a false document and forgery of a KCSE certificate allegedly used to secure employment.
Florence Njeri Njuguna, a Fund Manager at Laari Constituency NG-CDF, is also facing allegations involving fraudulent acquisition of public property worth KSh2.2 million, forgery of a KCSE certificate, presentation of a false document and giving false information.
The EACC has further listed land recovery cases, including a suit involving KSh70 million land belonging to Moi Primary School in Nakuru, which the commission says was illegally transferred to private individuals.
Another case concerns land reserved for government housing in Kisii County, while a separate suit seeks recovery of public land belonging to the Kenya Railways Corporation along Dennis Pritt Road in Nairobi.
The commission has also listed a case seeking recovery of land parcel number Kitale Municipality Block 12/236, as well as a case involving Benjamin Obuya Njoga, Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons, and 13 others over alleged fraudulent acquisition of public property and money laundering.
The allegations in the latter case involve KSh301.9 million in payments for goods allegedly not supplied to the State Department for Correctional Services.
The EACC’s weekly court schedule also includes a suit involving land belonging to Moi Primary School in Nakuru, which is valued at KSh70 million, according to the commission.
The cases form part of the commission’s ongoing efforts to recover public assets and prosecute alleged corruption and economic crimes through the courts. All the allegations remain subject to determination by the respective courts.
