President William Ruto has schooled his critics on effective leadership, saying they must have a development plan for Kenya, not their current ethnic rhetoric.

The head of state regretted that his opposers are only focused on removing him from office in the forthcoming elections but lack any plan to grow the country’s economy.

Speaking in Lamu on Thursday, February 27, President Ruto asked his opponents to inform Kenyans about an alternative plan that they have to better their lives.

"Msijali matapeli ambao hawana mpango. Nimewaskiza kwa makini, wanaongea kwenye mtandao, radio, magazeti, mpango yao ni kuondoa Ruto. Hawana sera, hawana maoni, hawana chochote," said Ruto.

The head of state insisted that leaders are chosen by God, asking his opponents to cease inconsequential plans.
