The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Nairobi County has partnered with Zoho Africa to accelerate digital transformation among Kenya’s next generation of entrepreneurs through a business engagement focused on innovation and technology.

The partnership aims to equip entrepreneurs with practical digital tools to improve operational efficiency, strengthen customer engagement, and support sustainable business growth in an increasingly technology-driven economy.

Speaking at the event on Tuesday in Nairobi, KNCCI Nairobi County Chairman Dr. James Mwaura said businesses must embrace innovation to remain competitive in today’s digital marketplace.

“The future of African business will be defined by entrepreneurs who embrace innovation and digital transformation. Through our partnership with Zoho Africa, we are equipping entrepreneurs with world-class digital tools to build resilient, scalable, and future-ready businesses,” he said.

Mwaura noted that the collaboration forms part of KNCCI Nairobi’s broader strategy to strengthen enterprises through mentorship, technology adoption, market access, capacity building, and strategic partnerships.

KNCCI Nairobi Director Charles Gitau said the initiative seeks to reduce barriers that hinder small businesses from adopting digital technologies while creating opportunities for continuous skills development through joint engagement programmes.

Participants were drawn from the Afya Bridge Program, which supports healthcare enterprises through mentorship, technical assistance, investment readiness and market linkages, and the Young Entrepreneurs Leadership Accelerator (YELA), a six-month programme launched in June 2026 to develop young business leaders.

The engagement marked the official Innovation and Technology thematic session under YELA, featuring keynote presentations, panel discussions, live demonstrations of Zoho’s integrated business applications, customer success stories, and one-on-one consultations with experts.

Zoho Africa CEO Veera Kumar said the partnership demonstrates a shared commitment to empowering SMEs with accessible digital solutions that improve productivity, competitiveness, and Kenya’s economic transformation.
