The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has left for Beijing, China, for a two day visit. Beijing is hosting one of the most consequential diplomatic encounters in decades. Trump is expected to hold high-level talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The talks are anticipated to cover trade, Taiwan, artificial intelligence and the ongoing war in Iran, along with global markets.

Trump was accompanied by delegation of senior U.S. officials, such as Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, Tim Cook of Apple, Elon Musk of Tesla and SpaceX and Larry Fink of BlackRock.
“I will be asking President Xi, a leader of extraordinary distinction, to ‘open up’ China so that these brilliant people can work their magic and help bring the People’s Republic to an even higher level,” Trump said in a post.
Trump mentioned he discuss with Xi over the issue of Strait of Hormuz, stating they have lot of oil from the area, have no problems and have been friends.
China is facing pressure from the U.S. to use its economic and political influence over Iran as the two countries have an alliance as trading partner.
