Political analyst Dr. Barrack Muluka has offered a sharp reflection on Kenya’s shifting political landscape following the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, describing how those who once depended on Raila’s influence for political survival are now scrambling for a new center of power.
Speaking on Citizen TV on Tuesday night, Dr. Muluka said Raila’s death has left a vacuum that many of his close political allies may find difficult to fill.
He noted that over the years, Raila had become not just a political figure but a “career anchor” for many politicians who relied on his national appeal to remain relevant.
”Dr.Barrack Muluka: The parasites of Raila Odinga will not survive without him hence they will make President William Ruto new host,”he said.
His comments came just days after Raila’s burial in Bondo, an event that brought the nation to a standstill as millions of Kenyans mourned the opposition icon who had shaped the country’s politics for decades.
