Popular Kenyan content creator Kelvin Kinuthia has left fans stunned for the second time this year after releasing a shock revelation on his Instagram stories.
The 24-year-old influencer, who has become famous for his bold attitude and unapologetic lifestyle, stepped up to announce that he will be receiving a uterus transplant surgery in the near future. The medical process could make it simpler for him to carry a pregnancy someday.
In the now-viral Instagram post, Kinuthia wrote:
“Life is so personal no one knows am undergoing a uTX surgery soon ????????????.”
The news has ignited a fierce debate on social media, with fans providing different views. Some welcomed him for being brave enough to talk about such a private matter, others were shocked and surprised by the possibility of such an operation being performed successfully.
Uterus transplant surgery is rare and extremely complex and has only been successfully conducted a few times worldwide on women who were born without a uterus or who had lost it because of health problems. If Kinuthia’s plans come through, he would be among the first male patients in the world to undergo the procedure.
