Tanzanian musician Harmonize alias Konde boy has announced his withdrawal from his country’s parliamentary race. He announced his commitment to his musical roots instead of focusing on politics. In a statement that is circulating on social media, he reiterated the patrliamentary ethics clash with his outspoken character.
In Kiswahili, he stated, “Simuoni Konde Boy kwa vinavyoona hata kusema Bomboclaatay sitoruhusiwa,” Konde Boy expressed the disappointment and frustration and restrictions he is likely to face as a politician.
The Never Give up hitmaker clarified where his priorities lay, “I’m hungry for more success in music,” His latest announcement has ended speculations about his ambitions for a political seat. Konde Boy however didn’t state whether he will be involved in politics in the near future.
