National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has called on young Kenyans to take advantage of overseas employment opportunities, saying the government has streamlined passport acquisition and created accessible platforms to connect job seekers with well-paying jobs abroad.
Speaking during a public engagement, Wetang’ula said the Kazi Majuu initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to address youth unemployment by expanding access to international labour markets.
“The process of acquiring passports has been simplified, and there are genuine, well-paying jobs available through the Kazi Majuu platform,” the Speaker said, urging young people to explore the opportunities instead of remaining idle or unemployed.
Wetang’ula noted that the programme is designed to not only create employment but also improve livelihoods by enabling young Kenyans to earn competitive incomes and gain valuable skills and experience.
He added that the government is working closely with host countries and recruitment agencies to ensure the safety and welfare of Kenyans seeking jobs abroad, while also addressing past concerns over exploitation and fraud.
The Speaker encouraged eligible youth to register through official government channels, warning against unlicensed agents who prey on desperate job seekers.
