Embakasi North parliamentary aspirant and business tycoon Wangoro Mwangi has called on Kenyans to embrace unity and shun divisive politics.

Speaking on Sunday after attending a church service at Gospel Tabernacle Church in Dandora, Wangoro emphasized the importance of peace and national cohesion, urging citizens to support their elected leaders and allow them time to implement their campaign promises.

“Kenyans should support the leaders they elected and give them time to serve. Continuous attacks on the government may lead to delays in fulfilling key promises,” Wangoro stated.

He further encouraged religious institutions to play a role in fostering national harmony while urging church members to register for the government’s medical scheme.

“I would like to urge the church to continue praying for the country and supporting the government while encouraging members to enroll in the medical scheme,” he added.

His remarks align with President William Ruto’s recent call for unity, in which he warned politicians against making statements that could fuel ethnic divisions. The President reiterated that the government is committed to promoting inter-communal harmony and will take stern action against those undermining peace efforts.

“All of us are elected to unite and work for Kenyans irrespective of ethnic or political affiliations,” President Ruto said.

Wangoro’s call for peace and unity comes at a time when political tensions remain high in the country, with different factions voicing concerns over government policies and service delivery.
